eerie. I love it.

||- Tonight, on this forsaken eve of Spring Weekend, instead of frolicking with the drunkards of the school as some of the more 'typical' college students would, my room mate and I are spending time inside -relaxing (well really, we're hiding and waiting for dawn to come).

So I've decided to share this lovely photo that I came across on deviantart, by who is now one of my favorite photographers, gilad on DA.

I saw this photo and just stared at it for a few minutes. It's so simple and yet so powerful in its very simplicity. The title "Brain Dead" is very appropriate for the image, because that is what the world has come to - especially in the U.S. Television, and the Internet, have become such a constant in our lives that we no longer feel the need to focus on our surroundings. When I look at the photo, I wonder if the child knows where he is - how long has he been there? Is this a punishment [since it seems like he's being made to face the corner]? Is this place his home? How long has it been since he's eaten anything or had anything to drink?
