A Tale (or Three)

One of the things I find most interesting in any piece of artwork, not just photography, is the way in which the artist delves into the nature of relationships (or how they ignore relationships, in some cases). The photos that really caught my attention show the differences in many relationships and the people in them, captured beautifully in black&white.

Found Lot 116 by Aaron Schuman.
This photo struck me as a testament to friendship and the bond that can be shared between people.

Grit of Life by Marcus Erixson
... are words really necessary for this? heh.

Untitled, Juvenile Prison Alexin, Russia 2003 by Ingar Krauss
This is by far one of my favorites - there is so much shown in the body language of these boys, and yet there is more that isn't known. The fact that you cannot see the entire figure leaves some sense of mystery as to how they relate to each other. I find myself wondering, Are they holding hands just below the cut-off point? Has the experience in the juvenile detention brought them closer together, or farther apart?
